EXP 3 - Video FlyThrough with moving components and files

My final design revolved around my centrepiece of a long sweeping bridge seemlessly connecting to the main structure.  The natural materials and style given to my work was inspired by the New York High Line and its integration with nature.  The detailed panelling on some of the walls of the building was inspired by the facade on the new UTS engineering building.  Overall, I tried to combine both these concepts together in a way that would represent my own concept for the Computational Design school as the integration between nature and technology in modern society.

Close-up detailed view of intricate wall design and natural public walk space.
View of leisure area for students hidden inside the building's structure.
Side view to show comparison between actual facility and the sweeping bridge.
A view from the top of the building looking down onto the sweeping bridge and natural public space.

EXP 3 - Concept Design

To build the foundation of our structure we used coloured blocks to indicate where each compulsory room would be located throughout the overall building.  This is a top view of the building.
This is a front view of the building concept.
We then proceeded to deconstruct a famous piece of architecture and map it to our concept designs.  This image is of the top view.
This image is of the front view.

Early visualisation of complete structure.
Detailed development of ideas, including bridge placement and connectivity.
Quick planning of material, style and texture.

Final concept theory design including material and texture.

EXP 3 - MashUp

Article MashUp

Key aspects of the spatial planning, with openings that change in size as it is stretched and formed.   Volumetric character and material palette creates a surface that changes in both density and flexibility. The construction system allows for "limitless possibilities in any scale imaginable".  To achieve this, the architectural idea spanned both the historic fabric of the existing building and the new extension.

The way the facade is unfolding over the structure is a real representation of my electro-liquid aggregation.
This image displays evergrowing as you can see every element of the station forming together, connecting and relying upojn one another.
This image represents my electro-liquid aggregation of "Unfolding and Evergrowing"as you can see the form in a consistent and continuous line, allowing the structure to become one.

ARCH1101

This image is a Revit rendering of my year 12 Graphics Design Major Work.  This perspective image allows for a high amount of angles and opportunities to view different aspects and techniques used in the creation and design of my building.  This is in fact a design for a residential home in Bondi, with a unique design which affects the lighting and structure of the home.

UTS's new Broadway building is a piece of architecture that I believe is great.  It isn't as amazing as other structures such as the Sydney Opera House, but I managed to find its unqiue design appealing.  In this perspective I have used the design of this building as a source of inspiration for my previous Major Work model.

This is an original image of a bonfire I took with my phone when I was visiting a family friend's farm.  I think this is a beautiful image by the way the fire started, stayed alive and finished.  The journey through time it took was a unqiue experience and being there when it was real was an amazing experience.
